Eat more Noodles

Have you ever wondered how you can incorporate more noodles and pastas into your diet? Well my friend, it can be quite easy, nutritious and exciting as well!

About 9 months ago my wife gave me a gift that has helped to expand my culinary mindset. She gave me this. 

Enter the spiralizer! This is a fancy $12ish tool(Amazon) that helps keep us eating well. Basically, it takes vegetables and makes noodles out of them. Instead of having pasta noodles, you can have zucchini noodles, sweet potato noodles or so many other options. 

Last night we had meatballs with these zucchini noodles. It is one of our favorite recipes to have. It’s light yet filling and guilt free as you have eaten about 1 1/2 medium zucchini without even trying. It is all about simplicity and setting yourself up for success in health.

    I’ve used ours several times. It’s a great tool. Like using it to create a quick marinated salad. Another option for faux noodles is the infamous spaghetti squash. Best with free range garlic butter, salt and pepper. Sometimes a squeeze of lemon juice or cumin is good too.
