Where we are now…

We are on a journey towards a better life, however it may be defined. Currently we have been grain free for about a week. It is amazing how difficult or rather inconvenient the change was over the first couple days. As the cook of the house, I had to change some perception and go to the grocery store for alternatives outside of my usual go-to items. For instance, I learned that baking powder is not grain free. Thankfully, searching online for making your own baking powder is quite easy. You can also quite easily find the ratio of baking soda to baking powder if you don’t want to get adventurous in making your own. More on this later…

Britni and I have noticed a few improvements in our daily lives since switching about a week ago. When we wake up in the morning, we don’t feel as sluggish as we had been over the past few months. It’s like a fog that has been lifted and a clarity that comes from having a good nights rest. Though we love our french press coffee, it is not a necessity for getting through the day. We have also noticed that our skin is clearing and we have a glow on our faces. That was unexpected though I will take it!
